Thought I'd blog about what I actually do at the kennel. :-)There is pretty much always two people there to work in the kennel if not more. We clock in on the computer in the front then head to the back to walk the dogs. One person takes a dog and the other person cleans the cage(this consists of taking out the dirty rack, taking out the newspaper, wiping down the cage and then putting clean things in. Or if it's a run for a bigger dog you spray it out and squeegee it) (in the morning all cages are clean no matter what but at night only if they are dirty) then the other person takes the next dog and that person cleans the cage (unless one person would rather just clean all the cages). All the dogs get fed and watered and given medication if they need it. We also feed and water the cats and clean their cages if needed. We wash any dirty bowls, clean the bathrooms if needed, sweep and mop the floors, and clean the dirty racks. We also wash and fold the laundry. And sometimes we have to clean the isolation room (I've never done this). If we are running low we unfold newspapers so they are ready to put into the cage. On Sunday night and Wednesday night we take the trash out to the front curb for pickup in the morning.
And that's about it. :-)
